Little Red Hen
aka Red. Rhode Island Red hen.
Passed: August 25th, 2020 of old age.
Red was one of the original birds the family started out with when getting into keeping chickens. She was a very sweet girl and tolerant of being handled by the kids. She was fairly easy going in the flock as well. In her earlier days, she helped raise babies.
Truly The Little Red Hen, she loved to come be in the kitchen with my wife whenever she found the front door to the house open. One of our first chickens, she was raised alongside our children. So gentle, so sweet, so mild, she loved us. We love you, too, Little Red Hen. <3
